Box 35090 Louisville, Kentucky 40232 October 7, 1981 Mr. Rene Garccau 6045 W. Melrose Chicago, Illinois 60634 Dear Rene: Following your visit to Louisville on August 14, 1981, both you and Bob Corey mentioned that the two of you had discussed varying the plans for the support vehicle and training to better suit your needs. These changes include: Vehicle: A van would be awarded rather than a 4 x 4 vehicle. The value of the van would be equivalent to that of the 4 x 4. Training: Instead of your training for two weeks at the Balloon Ranch, you would receive your training in Louisville over a longer period of time. Bob said that this plan would provide a better, more comprehensive training program for you. Funds that were allocated for the Balloon Ranch training would be used to cover transportation and other costs incurred in your driving to Louisville for additional training. Rene, if these changes are acceptable to you, please so indicate by signing the enclosed copy of this letter and returning it to me. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. Best regards, Sincerely yours, R. J. Miller Project Manager Product Publicity /jf (bcc: BLB. LC Amos)
