Lewis Enclosed is a copy of David Remes' analysis of H.R. 4350, the "Tobacco and Nicotine Health and Safety Act of 1992," introduced by Congressman Mike Synar (D-OK) February 27. The text of the bill, along with other material distributed at a news conference by the Coalition on Smoking & Health was distributed to you last week. As introduced, H.R. 4350 included eight cosponsors (Andrews (D-TX), Collins (D-IL), Durbin (D-IL), Hansen (R-UT), Jacobs (D-IN), Levine (D-CA), Owens (D-UT) and Ritter (R-PA), only two of whom, Collins and Ritter, are Members of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, to which the bill has been referred.
