Suite 504 Consolidated Royalty Building Casper, Wyoming 82601 Dear Mr. Everett: Thank you for your kind letter of January 23, 1967 which has been referred to me for reply. Our Company and others in the industry through The Council for Tobacco Research - U.S.A. and The American Medical Association Education and Research Foundation provide funds which are used by these organizations in making grants to recognized and competent scientists for research in matters relating to tobacco and health. From your letter it would appear that your client is engaged in research in an area that would not fall within the confines of the research sponsored by these organizations. Should this not be the case it would be our suggestion that your client communicate with these organizations directly. Our Company as such does not supply funds to individuals for research. I appreciate your having written to us about the matter. Sincerely G.A. Avram Associate Counsel GAA:hr
