Literature Retrieval Division 800 Second Avenue, 7th. Floor New York, NY 10017 Dear Gloria: As per our telephone conversation yesterday, attached please find coversheets or abstracts of documents which are in our "current" file, but which are not in your in-process data bank (IPDB), as per the search which Marlene did so ably for me last Friday. Both Marlene's search, as well as the attached items, were limited to references from 1970 to date. All these items have been sent to you before as our scanning for input into your data banks, in many cases several years ago. Each item has been categorized as to importance as follows: "A" and "B+" are in my judgement "very important" and should have been in the System a long time ago, or, for 1979 material, should be put, at least, in the in-process data bank immediately". "B" are routine references. "C" means these are references which I consider should be in the System, but if they are "rejected" I will have no major objections. "D" are items where, on second thought, I think it is not worthwhile to put them into the system. Please remember that the random alphabetical sample of in-process data bank references selected by Marlene, was limited to 200 references, as per my request. The attached material consists of about 165 references. I find it difficult to understand why there are so many items, because we also considered in Marlene's search "rejected" items. After you have analyzed the attached, please call me so that we may discuss this. I most certainly would appreciate, please, getting information at least on the "A" and "B+" items, as well as on a selected number of "B" references. Sincerely, Frank G.
