I think the proper course is to outline your proposal and distribute it to our Scientific Advisory Board for their consideration. A set of our new forms is enclosed. The Board meets next on September 24-25 and the final deadling for applications will be about August first. Earlier receipt is very advantageous however, in order to spread out the work load of the Board. It will be advantageous to submit a rather comprehensive review of the finding of the previous project, together with copies of papers resulting, either before submitting a new proposal or in conjunction with it. We will be glad to bring any proposal promptly to the attention of the study groups. Sincerely yours, RCH:tih Robert C. Hockett, Ph.D. enclosure Associate Scientific Director
