F.A.C.T. º Assess performance of the benedum installation º Publish article in ASHRAE Journal º Present paper(s) at appropriate meeting, e.g., Helsinkin/Brussels (NOTE: our F.A.C.T. paper was accepted for presentation in Brussels) º Provide technical assistance for additional F.A.C.T. Installation(s) º Identify, evaluate products and, where appropriate, implement technologies that could enhance F.A.C.T., e.g., IAQ sensor ventilation controls, carpets with microbial inhibitors, filters, energy recovery wheels, etc. 2. (a) Identify and evaluate smoking lounge options. (b) Prepare an informative pamphlet on smoking lounge options. (NOTE: Possible coordination with RJR) (c) Identify companies that have addressed IAQ problems in a creative way. (d) Find ways to Implement and showcase solutions. 4. Actively participate in professional societies and organizations to implement our strategy, which could include identifying opportunities to put forth the building systems approach to IAQ, discussing smoking lounge options and identifying opportunities to become more involved in the IAQ/IEQ issue. 5. Identifying networking opportunities (e.g., technical/corporate, etc.) and when appropriate, be available to make presentations on appropriate topics. 6. Develop a protocol for evaluating the vairous aspects of the total indoor environment. (Scientists, engineers, faciliites managers, health and safety managers.) 7. Identify research opportunities: (a) Scientific º CIAR - IAQ projects º Joint projects with other companies/institutions. (b) Engineering º building study proposals º cost affectiveness of ASHRAE º energy costs of ASHRAE º feasibility of IAQ standard º feasibility/cost of control measures 8. Help develop company/industry position on standards. 9. Provide Input on Model IAQ/IEQ legislation. 10 º Help develop a Philip Morris Companies Inc. smoking policy and a position on IAQ/IEQ. º Be aware of and where appropriate, take advantage of opportunities (throughout the company) to implement the building systems approach in new construction and/or major retrofit projects. º Prepare case study to focus on: -- technology used --cost --effectiveness
