RESEARCH CENTER (to be supplied later as needed) Keywords Cross-reference: Book Page(s) Project No. 2501 73 28 Book October Summary 29-Oct-82 One bright cigarette and one Barley cigarette (XDICE-IN) were smoked onto silica gel (main stem & silica stem) and serially elated for compresion by GC - DB-5 -> NPD/FID. Later an oriental blend (XG DICE-K) was also put through the procedure for this compression. All of these cigarettes (XGDICE - I,J,K) were smoked onto silica and the silica was extracted with liquid CO2. The extracts were composed by GC-DB-5->NPNFIA. A liquid CO2 extraction was made of oriental tobacco from 3 XGDICE-K cigarette. The extract contained the normal "craps" g.c. probe and probe corresponding to nicotine, myosmine, anabasing nicotigenes cotinine. A extraction & acetone indicated a nicotine level of 0.08 percentage nicotine. The tobacco was made into one cigarette for smoke comparison with the a control (XGDICE-K). A D/A cicpite band was installed in the HP-5880A enabling a connection to the jack stamp of the Vista and leave this to the Dec computer.
