Silberman Subject: Activity Statement, January 1 to 31, 1969 Microencapsulation Plans at present call for a close cooperation between this project and the facilities of the National Cash Register Co. NCR will prepare small batches of specific microcapsules according to our specifications. We will apply the microencapsulated compounds onto tobacco and prepare cigarettes. The various steps to implement the program in the field of microencapsulation have been outlined in "Plans and Goals for 1969." During the past month I have concentrated on Item B of these plans: Establish the most suitable wall materials for the microcapsules, the most suitable capsule size, the best way of affixing the capsules to the tobacco filler, the most appropriate capsule wall thickness.
